The drawing originally started as a part of the same school project as the other Super Mario characters I drew. I was just going to fix it up and color it the same way. But then I figured I might as well do something different, so I redrew the whole thing to add a rougher look to the lines and digitally painted it to replicate the style of the artwork from the Yoshi's Island series.
Yoshi's Island on SNES is probably my all time favorite video game, so I enjoyed working in this style. I finished it during a streaming session.
