Finished Winter 2018, Clip Studio Paint.
Man, I remember having so much fun playing Super SmashFormers back in the day on my old Nintendbro 84. My favorite characters were OptiMario, Yoshlock, Beekachu, and MegaKong. I got inspired to do some artwork of them ready to brawl on the Cyber Kingdom stage! I hope they'll make a new SmashFormers game for the Switrix soon.
In all seriousness, I started with a drawing combining Optimus Prime and Mario into one character and things just escalated from there. Yoshi became Grimlock next, and Pikachu obviously had to be Bumblebee. Finally, Donkey Kong became Megatron. I added a background that fused a Cybertron landscape with a few familiar stages, and finished everything off with some texture on the characters, just like the artwork from the original Super Smash Bros. game on Nintendo 64.
It was fun to put together, but it all ends here. I won't be adding any other characters, so please don't bother making suggestions or asking about it. These four are it!
