Finished Spring 2010, Photoshop..
My sea is the sea of space.
Digital painting of the legendary classic anime character, Space Pirate Captain Harlock. One of my all time favorite characters, and one of the greatest characters in the history of anime. If you don't know anything about this series, fix that immediately.
This was all done in Photoshop, from a rough drawing to the final painting. I tried a new painting technique using only grays at first, then adding the color. It was an experiment so I didn't do anything fancy in terms of composition. Just a simple portrait of a bad-ass Space Pirate.
