April O'Neil

It was in the month of April and I thought, hey, it would be fun to draw April O'Neil from Ninja Turtles. So I started working on that, thinking it would be just a quick and fun piece to work on. Of course, things never exactly work out that way, and I had to redo large chunks of it until it was good enough. Since I was putting so much effort into it anyway, I went all out and added the Turtles themselves and a New York alleyway background. So I spent a good amount of time on it, but it looks ok in the end.

I drew April the way she was in the original animated series, with the yellow jumpsuit, but I mostly based this illustration on the action figures of that era, which had their own unique look to them.
